What did you do to your TJ today?

3D printed and painted a universal phone holder which is adjustable. Also printed stock bumper end cap, just need to print one more which takes 8 hours to complete.

Finally got around to installing my metalcloak track bar. Wasn't thrilled about having to buy 35 dollars in drill bits. 9/16 and 5/8. Bit install was a Breeze with the wife in tow grabbing me every that i needed.
She even understands what a ball joint separator is.

Bought a second TJ tub for my trailer project. Who knew they would be a dime a dozen around here. I’ve bought two this week in excellent shape one was $150 the second one was $100 but needs a tailgate. No rust on either and only one small dent on the second one. I never expected to find them for under $500 a piece and thought it would take a few months of searching. Posted a want add and found two in less than a week. Now I’ve got a project this spring once I finish the last of the jeep overhaul.

While I am in Dubai my new old stock factory A-pillar trim pieces came back from the upholstery shop out in California. They arrived at my place wrapped in some of the highest quality alcantera that I could get my hands on while having matched my requirments. Scroll down for pics; had someone unwrap them for me.

The choice in material I went with repels dirt and water and is UV protected, having the top off will undoubtly allow the sun's rays to reach out and touch them as well as dirt, dust, and grime from the...mall parking lots.

Why? Well why not? I just wanted to do something different, after sending my sun visors off to be reupholstered in some high quality leather,(Still waiting on them to get done...) I looked at the A-pillars’s and thought, "The a-pillars might actually look great and bring the TJ a fresh look wrapped in Suade/Alcantera." I have yet to see anyone do it, which really gave me the desire to go through with my idea. My goal is to make some small interior modifications that are minimal yet bold and tasteful, bringing it into 2018. 100% made in Italy stuff here!

Install pics to be posted some random time after I have returned to the USA.

Does the JL Rubicon have any Alcantera?:flipa:

I believe it will pair well with my custom leather sunvisors that are due in any time now. Got a leg up on the JK and fancy JL ladyboys now.

Wow your in Dubai? There’s another guy on the forum in Dubai!
What are you doing there? I’m trying to vacation outside the country one day.

That stuff looks like suede. Is that what it feels like?

Removed the Pro Comp (they are junk) and installed the Rancho 5000X. The difference is unbelievable! Thanks to this forum for all the info!

Haha, I’ve been there and done this exact same thing. I think the Pro Comps are just there to bolt on and don’t do much at all. The ride is so much better I agree.

My new catalytic converters have STILL not arrived, so after wrapping up my muffler swap, I installed my goofy ass half top just for a little bit of weird.

Still say someone in the Mopar design department was drunk the day they came up with this thing. View attachment 67768

Still want to see that goofy assed 1/2 top in person!
