Thank you! yeah I didn't even take a wire brush to it. Those where just two scrap pieces laying around. I just wanted to see how the welder ran.LUCKY YOU!! That's a decent weld too, well except for all the rust, lol.

I ended up using A to Z Fabrication frame tie-ins also since the crossmember is a little flimsy

I might weld the tie ins to the frame. Since the bolts are so deep inside the frame it didn’t seem like enough torque was put on them with just star nuts holding them in place.I also have a Dirtworx rear bumper. Well built and solid. Glad you put in frame tie ins. Looks good.
I used Poisonspyder ties. The capture both nuts in a plate so you can apply adequate torque.I might weld the tie ins to the frame. Since the bolts are so deep inside the frame it didn’t seem like enough torque was put on them with just star nuts holding them in place.
Teasing us with all this talk of bling and no pics? Not really just today, since buying our first Jeep this past Sept. I've replaced the carpet with a quality carpet kit, front and rear. Seat covers from Marathon, very nice Condura custom fit covers. Tinted the front door windows. Black smoked turn LED lights, well the front facing turn signal, its smoked lens with factory bulbs. I had bought LED for those but they are a two wire and the Jeep needs a three wire, so it became more of a PIA project then it was worth. The smoked front side LED turn/ markers are really sweet. Led headlights, and the MFS. Also a new front bumper. I'll post some Jeep porn later when I take some pics. Feels good driving it with a refreshed interior,,,gregg
Did the nut plates line up well or did you have to enlarge the holes in the frame?I used Poisonspyder ties. The capture both nuts in a plate so you can apply adequate torque.View attachment 128902
They fit perfectly. No mods needed. Plus the diagonal brace on the tie in has a hole bored for access to the body bolt.Did the nut plates line up well or did you have to enlarge the holes in the frame?
They fit fine on mine too.Did the nut plates line up well or did you have to enlarge the holes in the frame?
Ran out and took some pics this morning . I repurposed a old bedliner for that back cargo area, I almost hauled it to the dump awhile ago, it should help protecting the carpet back there. When the current tires wear down, I'll go to 31" inch tires, these are 29's and a small 2" lift/shocks and that should be it for me as far as mods to the suspension. I read everyone's post about spring selection and shocks, trying to learn from you boys. I think I'm going to keep the GE wheels and the GE theme going, it has grown on me now. Here's your porn,,,greggTeasing us with all this talk of bling and no pics?
Now that's a proper TJ "porn" spread. Whose carpet kit did you use?Ran out and took some pics this morning . That's who I'm looking at for carpet. Did you get the mass backing?https://www.stockinteriors.com/ it is heat/pressure molded and fit right. I just laid in place, no glue. I did gut the interior, seats, both consoles and rear set to install. There was dog hair and dirt, grime all thru out the interior. Like I posted, its much nicer to drive any vehicle with a fresh interior,,,gregg
