What did you do to your TJ today?

Yet another Chevy underhood lite install, had to check to make sure it didn't hit the intake tube:

Fits JUST right! :D

Mind if I ask what you did for the pigtail connector? I got my retractable light, but didn't think about the connector. I've seen them on-line for $20ish but was wondering if there is another work around. I had planned on swinging by the junkyard on the way home. Thanks.

Backed into the garbage can this morning.

Found a patch in my late Grandma's sewing desk and fixed it. :D

Washed the dust off of it. Found one of the rocks that the homeless guy threw at me.

Then I decided to paint the track arms. :D

Hopefully we can install the lift this weekend. I have been pushing for it. :D

Did you paint your shock bodies purple?

Nothing exciting, just some new rear driveshaft u-joints. Spicers with zerks. With over 100,000 on the factory, nonservicable joints, I figured it was time. I have been trying to eliminate any source of vibration. It hasn't been bad, but my seat of the pants has noticed a change over the few thousand miles. Probably will end up mostly being the tires, they are near 50,000 miles on them.

Oh, and all driveway jobs go better with beer. I don't normally drink beer with any flavoring...but this one caught my eye today. Not too shabby.

Since we moved here a few months ago, I haven't really gotten the garage set up. It's still storing stuff. A bench vise kinda still works sitting on the ground. But, I earned a bloody knuckle anyhow. Comes with the territory, right? 😄

Swapped out the canvas top for a Smittybilt Denim one(new to me) with tinted windows. Took almost no time at all, but man so much better and quieter.

I was just telling my hubby about those guide wires that make the branches go over instead of hitting the windshield directly. I am thinking I may do that down the road. Do you have close up pics on how they hook to the Jeep? Also, Where did you find the tray that is above your instrument cluster? I would love to have something there!! :D

Nice Jeep by the way.
Thanks! 😁 I’ll take some tomorrow if you’d like but it’s very simple. The attachment on the windshield is 3 rivets each side. On the hood it doesn’t require any bolting or hardware. They are installed directly under the factory hood latches. It’s a smilltybuilt set which came with detailed install instructions. I got the tray from eBay. I think even Amazon sells them too. Yea we need all the storage room we can get lol They have one for the passenger too.
