Surprisingly, it actually works just as well as the factory stick antenna. How's the reception?
My stubby rubber antenna for $10 works as good as stock as well.Surprisingly, it actually works just as well as the factory stick antenna.
For local stations, I'm sure that's true. I'm not convinced for DX...My stubby rubber antenna for $10 works as good as stock as well.
Yeah, I'm not sure. I never listen to the radio, so it didn't matter if it worked or not. I got it for asthetics. I always listen to digital media, because I hate listening to 30 minutes of commercials between each songFor local stations, I'm sure that's true. I'm not convinced for DX...
Agreed - I just ordered a new head unit myself AM/FM/USB so I can plug in my "Geek sticks" and have control over my own playlists. I *do* listen to the radio on occasion though.Yeah, I'm not sure. Nice!! I love the new head unit I just installed a couple weeks ago. I can actually see the screen in sunlight now lolAgreed - I just ordered a new head unit myself AM/FM/USB so I can plug in my "Geek sticks" and have control over my own playlists. I *do* listen to the radio on occasion though.
Luckily I had an aftermarket unit that the PO installed, so I didn't have to deal with that. Sounds like the perfect job for a BFHI had my wife with her small hands, attempt to remove that thrice damned nut on the back of the stock stereo. She couldn't do it, and I certainly can't. I also *think* said nut is a nylok. How the Hell did they ever put this mess on at the factory? Must have been pre-assembled into the dash when it was dropped in.
Time for Plan B. Since this thing is toast anyway, I'll just dis-assemble it (read: break it apart) from the frontside. I need to rescue the CD it ate, but otherwise it came come out in pieces.
Yea, a BFH and a BFSD.Luckily I had an aftermarket unit that the PO installed, so I didn't have to deal with that. Sounds like the perfect job for a BFH
When I put my bullet antenna on I did notice a decrease in FM radio station range. I listen to Pandora 95% of the time so it stayed on.Installed my new antenna

Yeah, I live in the middle of the mountains, so my reception is not good regardless. It just didn't seem any worse than the stock antenna. When I put my bullet antenna on I did notice a decrease in FM radio station range. I listen to Pandora 95% of the time so it stayed on.
I’ve got a neighbors old chrome grill I’ve been slowly getting the plastidip off of, and it’s not as easy to remove as some have said.Extreme Terrain Barricade brand. Unfortunately they stopped making them a month after I bought it. They only sell $450 chrome ones now. I've seen people Plasti-Dip their grills and they looked great. I've never had good luck using it myself.
