What did you do to your TJ today?

Finly "broke" down and got a new windshield (get it? 😄) cost me 450 dollars. The chick was like "oh I love installing on these older jeeps it's so easy only took me like 30 minutes ".
Then why da F**k does it cost 450 dollars???!!! 🤬
Comprehensive insurance. Zero $. With a jeep, windshield damage is to common when wheelin. Not just windshield but any window.

Finally got around to seriously debugging my NSS & TCC issues. Pulled the entire lower harness into the engine bay and I think it's safe to say I found the problem(s). I've got a whole lot of splicing in my future. I also replaced the speedo sensor & spliced in a new connector. The style I had was prone to leaking ATF through the connector (and it also had bare wires showing) so at least that moves into the completed column.

This is the other end of the NSS pigtail. Yeah, that seems like a problem.

Peeling back the insulation shows the fun didn't stop at the connector. Not pictured: even more bare wires further upstream.

This was the TCC section. Not even sure what to say about that, other than to mention that I did somehow have the TCC working not too long ago.

Went to a salvage yard that had 4 wrecked TJs. Got a grille, a pair of Tuffy lock boxes that go over the rear wheel wells, and an unmolested harness of a 99. I've asked in my brake light thread but maybe somebody here will happen to know: to what extent are the 97 & 99 underhood/transmission wiring harnesses interchangeable?

After a recent Big Bear snow wheeling trip during a snowstorm I realIzed how bad the light bar washed out my vision at night. I ordered some cheap $33 dollar yellow LEDs off eBay and wired them up today next to my KC fogs using a metal plate to mount the LED fogs next to the KC’s

Over the last two months I was able to get my new sound system, heated seats, radio mount + radio w/ antenna, Quadratec head/tail lights, and tow hooks installed. Just waiting on my Quadratec fog lights and then I'm ready to start upgrading suspension and tires!
