What did you do to your TJ today?

Need to replace the drain plugs on the floor, found one missing, so replacing them all. Plugged the hole with duct tape for the moment.

Took the windows off after work yesterday for the drive home. Left them rolled up in the Clover Patch roll. I've since driven the Jeep for whatever errands I can just because.
Today I took my wife by her work so we could feed some (non-poisonous) poison dart frogs.

Started on the Dana 30/35 to 44 axle swap project. Never done this before, so I was a bit slow removing the old one. Just figuring out what needed to be removed and all that good stuff. The only real hard part was probably getting the old parking brake lines out of the bracket.

I’m not exactly rushing this project. I plan to stuff the Dana 44 in tomorrow morning when my brother-in-law can give me a second set of hands.

I may not even start on the front axle until next weekend. Or I’ll do it throughout the week after work little by little. It’s nice having another Jeep and another car I can use. So the TJ can sit here as in progress for as long as needed.

Still need to pick up another locker pump. And some miscellaneous airlines, connectors, etc... Probably replace the disc brake rotors & pads too on the new axles.

Installed a new liftgate glass retainer from the Crown kit (55175042K).
Went to put on the weatherstrip but there’s a gap like the weatherstrip is too narrow. Old one fit tight in the new retainer.
Anyone know if it’s supposed to fit that way?

From what I’m finding this is looking like a really crappy manufacturing defect.

Went for a ride up a fun trail near town. Pond has always been there as long as I can remember. Water was flowing pretty good too from the creek. Was nice to get out and hit a trail. Not really too difficult, but did have to clear some tree branches and bushes. I don't think anyone has been up there in a full size rig in a while. Nice to find some water in our dry desert.

Maybe I'm Dislexit.... but when I first read this I thought it said (non-poisonous) Poison Fart Dogs :ROFLMAO:

After sitting in my side driveway for almost 2yrs I had to revive her. New battery, DB Electrical starter and alternator from Amazon and scored a brand new Smittybilt soft top with spice upper windows for $225 from Amazon. Found a factory frame and all the accessories for $100 on FB Marketplace and sold the door surrounds for $80 to make most of my money back 😁 I’ve been swapping some other parts around with some extras I’ve been hoarding in the garage. I still have some small issues to work out, but for now it’s just great to be driving it again.

Have to give credit to my Rampage softtop as it didn’t leak any during the time it was sitting
