What did you do to your TJ today?

Good as new. Had half the body lift installed and then got to the part where you remove the transfer case shift linkage and three out of the four bolts wouldn’t come out. Looks like I’ll be figuring that shit out another day. Back to the drawing board with that but at least I got the new channels welded in and the new bushings installed.

Replaced my lug studs to see it that will help with my lug nuts loosening up on me. Glad I bought the cheap harbor freight ball joint separator tool instead of renting one, cause I wasn’t gentle with my impact and I don’t think they’d take it back looking like this:

Harbor Freight will take it back(y)

I installed an inverter on the console of my LJ. For the bracket, I cut and bent 2 pieces of 16g sheet metal, spot welded them together and painted it with a light duty bed liner. It's attached to the console with 2 sided taped and the inverter is attached to the bracket with VHB tape. Rather than power it by one of the 12V ports I'll connect it to the fuse panel.

Productive evening out in the garage. Got the axle painted, control arms torqued down and bolted the axle in place. Also hooked up all my brake lines but I’ll have to redo the soft line. I don’t like how it’s routed and I wasn’t paying much attention when connecting it. Brought the axle up to full bump to make sure clearance was good. The ARB diff cover JUST barely kisses the GTS. I’m going to call it good and let that go. Track bar also has plenty of clearance. Tomorrow I’ll throw the tires on and cycle it again on each side then toss the springs in place and bleed the brakes! Then it’s time for the front axle 😅

Truetrac for the 35 ordered , 800.00 I spent for both lockers not bad. Just can't make up my mind if I want to change the 4.10's out for 4.56's ? I think I am going to drive it a bit more , maybe down some trails . It will be another 560.00 in parts for the 4.56 which is not bad and I think it will perk it up with the 31 mud tires I have on it. I think if I'm going to tear into the chunk I should re-gear and have all new everything and I will be happier with the 4.56's , what do y'all think ????

Harbor Freight will be sending out there coupons shortly… Badlands 12,000 winch should be under $300!
I like my X-Bull 12,000 I got for under 300 and it has synthetic rope , not cable.
Seems like a better buy to me and everyone seems to like them. And I think it's nice looking and has a wireless remote.
