What did you do to your TJ today?

Still can't get this damn bolt out. Really wishing I knew how to weld right now... Just can't get a good angle with a drill bit and it's not budging with vise grips.

When I have a broken bolt like that with some nub left I use a mapp gas torch to get it hot and hammer one of these stud extractors over it. Pretty good success rate. Better success rate than I've had with the spiral extractors, anyway. You just use a big hammer and these extractors dig in to the bolt.

They often carry them at auto parts stores but they're usually marked up twice what you see them for elsewhere

We will be doing the usual touristy stuff on this trip as my girls have never been the the US. (LA , Vegas, Grand Canyon etc)

Just remember…

French Fries = chips
ketchup goes on French fries
gravy goes on biscuits
potato chips = crisps

that is all…😆

I appreciate the suggestion. I'll see what Napa and Big R have tomorrow.

Are you only going as far East as Vegas? If you are going farther east there's some pretty rad stuff. Although most of what I consider rad isn't exactly what most would consider "touristy".

My mate (Who is coming with me) has friends in St George ( I think that’s what he called it ) we will be using that place as a base to go to the Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon aswell.
I would have liked to have gone further east to Moab but that will have to wait for another year

St. George and Bryce Canyon is a beautiful area! Definitely try to make it up to Zion if you have the time. That area will also make you wish you could've brought your Jeep.

If you can, try to get a permit for angel's landing. Although I have no idea how old your girls are. I went with a group of rock climbers and it got our adrenaline going a bit. Mainly because we went before the permit system and I don't trust a hundred or so other people not to bump me off the edge.
