Engine rebuild?.......Nah new wheels and tires 😆
Had too cause my old of wheels and tires were bad/kinda bald

Anyways here's some shots with no hood still and it will remain with no hood cause I'm lazy since I'm gonna be rebuilding my motor......yeah that's a good excuse 🙄

these are Dextero DAT1 31x10.5r15s on some Nomdad convoy wheels, got the tires balanced and installed for 420😉 (hehe 420😆) first 90 ish miles today and they feel great, they're an At so they are nice and quiet track straight going 95 and they're cheap ! Once i rebuild my motor I'll see how they do out in the rocks at Bridgeport Ohv !

And here's a view from Uptop and im loving the offset of these, they poke out a bit less then my previous setup so I should have very little to no rubbing when flexed out 😁

Now that I have the 98 Impreza running, I started with a small project on the LJ. I replaced valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, and RMS a while ago, but I had a bad leak from the RMS area afterwards. I pulled the oil pan, and I don’t know how I flaked out (probably just old age!), but I didn’t put RTV on the corners on either side of the rear crank journal. If anyone’s wondering, yes, that RTV is important!

After that, I took the front console off. Since putting in the motor mount lift, the shifter hits the rear of the console window. This will soon be rectified when I install the Atlas and tummy tuck, but I need to get this LJ inspected very soon in order to renew the registration this year before I start the big build project. With the front console and lower shift boot off, I can shift it in order to drive to an inspector!

I can’t believe I’m finally starting in on the LJ build!

Took advantage of the only nice day for next week. Did an oil change, and installed a Wouxun KG1000G GMRS radio. Also, started to instal an Auxbeam 8-gang switch panel. Still need to run a switched power line out to the relay box under the hood. The later model TJs and LJs with the A-pillar and top windshield covers are nice for hiding wiring. A friend if mine has a '97, and it looks like a New Delhi electrical system.
