This isn't really doing anything, but I decided to keep it! Here's the story. I have a CJ that I have been playing with for 3+ years doing stuff like windshield, seats, top, tires, paint, golly tons of stuff. Anyhow, I really only use it for going on jeeping trips to the mountains, been on a Jamboree with it and a local club event near our hometown. It is something that my and I really enjoy the hobby together! (and it helps me justify upgrades!)
I bought my first TJ, an '04 Rubicon, back in the summer and made it my daily duty vehicle on the farm. I really enjoy driving it. It is by far a lot more refined of a vehicle than the CJ. I began thinking I don't need two jeeps, I'll sell the TJ and put the money into the CJ. I didn't do anything right away about. However I began making a list of all the upgrades I still wanted to do..... fuel injection, rear disk brakes, lower transfer case gearing and so on. Then it hit me, why do all that when the TJ already has all of those features built in!
So, I'm selling the CJ and making my wish list for the TJ! The first thing it needs is a lift! It is stock height and looks like a sled to me, even with the 16" 265/75's. I plan on making it my fun vehicle and not a daily ride but will definitely drive it more frequently than the CJ. I been trolling the forum for info on lifts and really appreciate the wisdom that has been shared. This is a great and very informative place to learn about the TJ, thanks!
