What did you do to your TJ today?

Was just checking out my garage, trying to get a game plan for a hardtop hoist and I just happen to see the box with my old skyjacker shocks that my mechanic took off over a month ago. I never really looked at them till now. My mechanic wasn't joking when he said they looked a rough lol

I took the Jeep up to GSMNP with the wife to sit and soak up some Nature. A bit cool to start, but it was worth it the rest of the day! I also managed to install some door hangers in the garage. They hold the door by the window gasket, jury is still out on this one. I will say, for the small lip they hang on the doors are extremely stable.

What's with all this stone stacking thing? I have noticed it in Australia everywhere over the past few years! Is it a "Close Encounters" mash potato mountain obsession sort of thing?
Lol I’m not really sure. I have some hippy friends that do it, other than that I’m not too sure

I drove to the grocery store this morning and on the way home I got the dreaded P0306 error. The Jeep wouldn’t go past 3k rpm and it was running rough. I stopped at a local shop and grabbed a set of plugs and that seems to have fixed the problem. Fingers crossed.View attachment 242458View attachment 242466
Off topic! That’s what your TJ did to you today...

Started cutting out a chunk of frame to put in a rear control arm patch.
I'm cleaning out the frame and looking for the "bad rust" to check and see what I need to patch and reinforce. Last week I started correcting some of the "fixes" the PO performed. The driver's side rear horn needs to be replaced. Yes, I did that today, checked, looked at wallet, ordered patch parts.

Drove the jeep with the kiddo to t-ball practice and then ice cream. Loving the weather for sure.

Finally got my adjustable control arms (upper and lower) installed. Still need to do the rear, but getting the front done was enough for today. The ride is night and day difference. This is my first attempt at doing control arms. After a lot of research on here, and several hours of tweaking, I'm fairly confident I've got them pretty close to being right. Once I do the rear, I may take it down to my local 4x4 shop and have them give it a quick look over, just to make sure it's right.
