I have been the fence on this for some time. I’m gonna pull the trigger eventually.

At least he didn't say 8trackCD's, what are those? You must be my age
They are made up the street from me. At least it would be shopping local.Me too !!
Now that would be handy...I'm a lil bit further down the road....hahaThey are made up the street from me. At least it would be shopping local.
So you think I should give up trying to make this work In my TJ then ???I do too, but not so much on the trail. Mine skips a lot when off road, so I have to resort to a MP3 flash drive.
Wait - you stepped up from the 78’s?
Looks to be a clean ride as well.
@Zorba is that you?
'would 78's fit under my TJ ?? ' lolWait - you stepped up from the 78’s?
Thats how you do it. The less you worry about off road/down the road the more fun you have.Addressed some long overdue cooling system maintenance. All new hoses, water pump and fan clutch. 1.5 hours to complete after a 14hr work day to get ready for wheeling this weekend. The fleet mechanic in me is shining as the replace everything mentality has made it into the jeep as well. Also the writing date of purchase on parts makes warranty easy.

What tire carrier are you running?
You are doing exactly what @SamwiseGamJeep did...went all through it, he wont be doing much else for a long time.Yup. That's the plan! Still need to do alternator, belt tensioner, clutch, valve cover gasket, o2 sensors. Its a long list but it's all maintenance stuff that the past owner overlooked and I am slowly working away. $100-200 a month in stuff still beats a $600/mo payment on a new one.
Same for me as well. I find it quite enjoyable to drive it home from work on a nice evening and change some fluids, replace some parts, clean stuff up. Feels better the next day.Yup. That's the plan!
