What did you do to your TJ today?

not really northerner's delight, it's very specifically located in a pretty small region of southeastern Pennsylvania & spilling over into the tri-state areas in Jersey & Delaware. There's some disputes of course as to who makes the best, big Habbersett fan myself, grew up a few miles from their original and only plant, though they've since shut it down & sold to another company, it's still the same recipe I grew up with.

Scrapple is on the menu of every diner in the region. Funny watching people unfamiliar with it see it for the first time, it's hard to get people to try it & I can understand that, kind of nasty when it's all explained, but having eaten it since I was a kid I skipped right over that & it's seriously one of the most unique & tasty things I know of.

Years ago I started using it as a pizza topping, haven't done one for many years however coincidentally I broke one out last weekend for my parents & son.

The classic:

Best with caramelized onions for the pizza variety, otherwise it's best on a hoagie roll with American cheese

the key with scrapple is to fry slowly until the exterior is crunchy

onto the pizza with the onions

after baking:

also made an asparagus pie, fresh asparagus sauteed in olive oil with hot pepper flakes & garlic

finished up with a vidalia onion pie as usual, we feasted but good

Glad I can still find it in my current state! 😋

Finished up a few trail door details

Moved the mirrors back to the door:

Now they stay with the doors like the full doors.

Last put some “Jeep Hardware” parts on. Nice quality. Added the door straps that are now self contained. Bought the footmans loop and adjustable strap. Worked great. I was able to use one of the trail door hinge bolts to hold the loop.

Done. Now we'll see If there are any vibrations and get some savvy control arms to fix them. I wish they would have drilled holes for the rear bolts. But I improvised a drill press with the chordless drill and the floor jack after getting everything line up and checking clearances around the exhaust.

Replaced the pass. side full door seal the other day. Went through about 2" of rain in 24 hours. No more pool of water on the front floor. Now gotta track down the small drip that puddles behind the front seats on both sides. Mucket seals maybe? Soft top is dry inside.

Did the exhaust cat hanger mod that everyone is doing these days except I didn’t cut the hanger like @Jamison C did. I did the version @Moglocker did by just prying the exhaust down while heating up the cat brace bars. Worked pretty good. Maybe about an inch or a touch less separation. Cutting the mount probably would have helped some more but it has enough separation for me. As long as it’s not touching and not making a rattling noise, it works for me! Thanks for all the help!🤙🏾

I started the Jeep up to move it and thought the exhaust was hitting, then it revved to 1500 rpm and sounded like an exhaust leak popping.

I turned it off and took a look around before noticing black pieces all over. The fan was rubbing on the very edge at the bottom of the shroud. So i took the shroud loose, fished a drill down, lengthened the holes on one side to drop the shroud down a hair and put it back together. Thankfully that was all it needed.

Scared the poop out of me. I thought I cracked the exhaust header somehow.

Oh crap.

Sorry @Jamison C , it was late and I was tired.

Let’s see if @Jerry Bransford can roll back time so I can fix this.

Now I’ve gone and broken the Fellowship of the Ring Gear.

I’m going to bed - its 12:34 here and I’m off my rocker with a cold and sinus medication wearing off- I just had the idea to use one of my old smiley face covers for a cat food dish- besides, me and @Jamison C are tight- we trust each other to play with light covers and stuff.
