What did you do WITH your TJ today?

Not today, but Wednesday. Wife and I found ourselves both off on a random weekday, so we took a cruise in the mountains. Went up to St. Peter's Dome and just enjoyed a nice trail ride. Never took it out of 2wd, but had a blast anyway.

I like the white wagon wheels on that rig

Today I went out on a trail. Got out of the way for three Gladiators coming the opposite direction. Sat and watched all three have to make three point turns just to make it around the bend. Love my TJ's short wheelbase and turning circle. Andy

Me and my wife had a day off today. She wanted to go out into the mountains and see the changing leaves. I wanted to have a quiet lunch with her. We decided to do both!

We went up into Santa Fe National Forest and found a trail through the aspens.

Drove for a bit until we found a place to sit and relax.

Cooked up some beef tenderloin and asparagus on my flat-pack grill. (A Fold-a-Flame)

Had an awesome time and a delicious meal, just me, my wife, and the dogs. Couldn't ask for a better afternoon!

Gathered firewood yesterday from the abandoned log deck I found last weekend.

First time pulling the trailer with the jeep. I took it slow and it did well. Going downhill on gravel with the loaded trailer was like driving on snow: it felt fine until I wanted to stop, which it did rather slowly lol.

My bumper doesn't really have a place for safety chains, and the trailer chains are too short to use the d-rings. I ran a chain between the shackles and hooked the trailer chains to that. Seems good enough but not ideal. Anyone have a better option?

Weld a couple loops to the bottom of the bumper? Or a couple triangle gussets from the hitch to the bumper?
