What do y'all use to get out grease stains?

Wondering if anyone else here has any tricks to getting grease stains out of clothes. Oxy Clean isn't doing it for some of the new grease that I have been using on parts of my Jeep (especially the RCV greae, that stuff is evil!)

I have given up, I just designated a set of clothes for when I work on the cars, wash at the end of every weekend, when it is too embarrassing to look at, I get a new, cheap sweatshirt and pants.

I have a couple of rain suits that I have devoted for mechanic work, my problem though is that I tend to get grease on my seats while working on my Jeep. I often forget to clean them off, and that grease winds up getting on my "work clothes"

Well, all my clothes have stains in them. Carhartt pants, cheapest shirts I can find. My clothes get solid from working in a slaughterhouse. My wife knows if i ever get dragged into jail for something serious just to go ahead and burn all my clothes

Ohhhh yeah, the infamous aromas of the slaughterhouse! That was my first job (when I was 14). I have no idea how I wound up in tech :headscratch:

I saw not to long ago gojo or something kid the likes makes laundry detergent for mechanics clothes. Don’t know how well it works since I’ve never used it. I have a dedicated set of clothes in the garage for heavy wrenching days.

Good question. When I was wrenching, we had a laundry service and the uni's always came back clean. That was in a diff shop, and everyone knows how nasty diff lube stinks.

I've used this stuff for years and it's made by a small company in Massachusetts. There is a Tuff Stuff product out there but it is not related. I don't have any experience with it.

Greased Lightning and an old tooth brush.

I use the orange hand cleaner with pumice. I have had good luck with it but you have to catch it fast. Once you wash it the stain bakes in.

Simple Green works, and your clothes smell like it afterwards... which I happen to like.

I'll bet that Tough Stuff would work too. My wife uses it for her furniture projects all the time.

You may have to get yourself a "THOR" washing machine....that thing will get anything out, they don't make 'em like they used too.

Grease on your clothes is a badge of honor. Embrace it.

Equal parts sudsy ammonia, dawn, and water in a spray bottle. Spray the stain liberally and then put in the wash as normal. Smells strong but works wonders on grease stains and cheap to make.
