What do you use for a dash cam?

I bought 6 Amazon $15 dash cams for the family. Two have
paid off successfully on damage.
Wish my kids drove better. But the the cams got us paid as no fault of ours.

Any dash cam is better than none.

The only one I've considered was a mirror-based cam that I recently saw installed; the rearview mirror itself is the camera, and it looks just like a conventional mirror...so even upon close inspection it doesn't seem valuable. It's possibly a good option for a Jeep, and it also has a backup camera system that, when activated, changes the right-hand side of the mirror into a small display that shows whatever the secondary camera is seeing. I have zero use for a backup camera in a half-cab TJ - or most any other time - but I would be very interested in it if the secondary camera could be located underneath the vehicle to act as a ground-view camera. I don't have the model information on me at the moment, but I can acquire it if anyone is interested.
