What does this part do?

Hi all-

Have this bracket for the fan shroud but don’t know what it connects to the back of the shroud (hose, line, etc).

Does it have a specific name and/or what is it holding to the back of the shroud? Thanks.

Doesn't look familiar. Possibly a bracket/mount for a cold air intake heat shield? Was it attached to the fan shroud and if so, where?

Found it attached to the passenger side top of the fan shroud. A bracket for a cold air intake heat shield makes sense.

Almost positive that's exactly what it is. Looks just like the bracket on the k&n Cai I removed from mine.
