That's essentially a 33" tire and 4.56 is the usual recommendation for that size when you have the NV3550. If you think you might get to 35's I'd strongly consider going right to 4.88. Your Rubicon should already have 4.10 gearing so going to 4.56 wouldn't be much of a change.I have a 2004 Rubicon 5 speed manual NV3550 with 285/75/R16 tires. I want to re gear soon, not real sure what to go with

Smart man! Thanks so much...very helpful! I will go with the 4.88 since I will be going to a 35 inch tire in the future
If for some reason I decide to stay with 33's would the 4.88 gears be ok with that tire size. I don't rock crawl, when I off road it's mostly mild to moderate trailsI'd go with 4.56, or even 4.88 if you wanted a little more out of it. Going from 4.10 to 4.56, you won't notice that much of a difference in all honesty. However, it's still probably the ideal gear ratio unless you like it a little more extreme, in which case I would go with 4.88.
