Hello, new to the group. I'm looking for some advice. I hope I'm at right place. If not, I'm sure someone will let me know.
I'll try to make this quick and not to wordy.
My husband and I purchased a 2004 Wrangler TJ Sahara. It has approximately 65 K miles on it. We were going to take it out in the desert on trails, But first he had to make some modifications. Which he hired the top-of-the-line company to do. Long story short he developed brain cancer and passed away. Now I would like to sell the jeep and I have no idea what to ask. Here are some of the up-grades:
Red top battery
Enduro Crawler Fuel Tank
Skid Row Skid Plate
Ridge Round 7" Headlights
Electric fuel pump
Front adjustable trackbar
Rubicon Express rear adjustable track bar
Bilstein 5100 shock absorber
Rough Country 6-inch-long arm upgrade
Sway bar disconnect
Rubicon Express rear coil springs
Synergy mfg. front coil springs
Rough Country rear brake line kit
RCX front brake line kit
RSE step slider and step slider Armour
Rock slider step light kit
JKS front skid plates
ARB Dana 44 blk diff cover
Rigid Ind Pro driving lights
Falken AT3 All terrain 33x1250R15 tires plus spare
Method 15x8 black wheels
1310 rear drive shaft
On board air compressor
Tinted windows
So, we paid 15K for the jeep and 23K in upgrades. We have $38K into it and I know I'll never get that back. But any idea what I should ask for it.
Everything works, has air conditioning and is a hard top. Tan in color.
And where should I list it for sale? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. May he rest in peace!

We could never tell you what's it's worth without seeing photos (especially photos of the frame and underside).

Assuming it's rust free (need to see frame photos) I would say given the lower miles you might be able to get 18-20k for it, but given the economy and the way things are going, you'll be sitting on it for a while.

Mam, bless your heart- We are so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your husband.

I hate to see wives having to sort this stuff out, but women are pretty amazing and can handle a lot.

List it for 20,000 and see what you can do from there.

It has some good parts but the list gives me the impression it’s not built completely for the rocks and the long arm kit tell me the shop knows how to install kits, not how to build rigs. Don’t feel bad I know of a jeep right now that a shop convinced the owner to spend $100,000 on- And I don’t know that I would give 10 grand for it. It’s a joke. Please don’t get the impression that we are some elite group of Offroad people - We just have deep experience with the platform and we know exactly what will work and what does not.

Pre-fabricated lift kits are essentially the same as some of the tile shower waterproofing systems that are on the market- They are designed as a means to an end due to the lack of knowledgeable trades people.

If you need to turn it into cash fast, Call Grant Gilbert at Gilbert Jeep in Athens, Al. He will purchase it and come get it. He will not pay retail but do all he can , but it will be quick and painless, he is a stand up guy. He can be contacted at webejeeping.com

My cell is 256-990-4394- I’ll be glad to post pictures to this thread if you send them, just text ahead.

Stay strong and keep your chin up.

We have a strong membership base in your state and I would like to think somebody might be willing to help you present the jeep to somebody or at least answer questions.

Cleean looks very good but its not a Rubicon. But it is a Sahara. Box stock 2004 TJ Sahara should get you in the ball park of $12.9 - $15k for super clean and low miles for its age.

A good rule of the thumb is mods will be worth 25% of mod. You got $23k in mod and at 25% your are around $5.7 mod value. You could go for $20.9k and go from there.

Drawback: Its a modded Jeep! I am currently looking for a TJ R and have been for over 1 year. I will not buy a modded Jeep in most cases. Show me the paperwork and the shop that did it. So have that handy for any perspective buyer.

You are in a good state for and offroad, modded Jeep. I moved to Scottsdale for about 9 years to be central to Off-Roading: Texas <> California and Utah <> Mexico. Look at the local forums and post there also: Here is a couple you can join.

Sorry for your loss! Cancer is a bitch. I loss someone close to me aswell as my grandmother getting it but she ended up being ok.
That jeep looks insanely clean though. IMO worth at least 6-10 maybe more.
