What is the torque spec for these bolts

Transmission support bracket/cushion bolt (4WD auto)

75 N-m (55 ft. lbs.)

2006 wrangler unlimited / 42rle / 4wd

I believe engineers determine torque specifications by how the bolt/nut is being stressed and what type of materials are being retained and/or clamped.
Then they pick the size bolt that can do the job.

2 or 3 Ugga duggas with a Milwaukee stubby 3/8 should be plenty.

You guys are overthinking it. These are torque-to-strip bolts, then back off 1/4 turn.

Or the German torque specs say to get it gutentight.
