What is this hose to?

Greetings! First time poster, just joined today. I’ve read a bunch and you’re all so helpful, thank you so much in advance. I hope to be able to contribute in some way as well at some point in the near future.

To my question: I can’t find out what this hose is to. I saw it dangling when I got back to the TJ and have used a flashlight to find out where it goes to no avail. It’s probably something simple. I checked the digital manual here and must have overlooked it. Just want to make sure it’s not critical to something, but mostly where to plug it back in?

That hose is a vent for the front differential. Looks like the axle end came off so look around and find the connection.

Since the axle end came off, I would suggest you change the gear oil in the front diff, especially if you’ve been driving through puddles recently. Don’t want any water or contaminants in there or you may wind up with an expensive bill.
