There's a good running joke in the full size Wagoneer world. When AMC introduced the electronic/vacuum/servo cruise control in the 70s, they took the control module and just duct taped it beneath the dash board.
Actual duct tape.
So after 20-30 years the modules fall out onto the floor, and people freak out thinking some intricate mounting bracket broke. "Nope — you're missing the factory AMC duct tape."
