Before I start pulling up diagrams and tracing wires, thought I'd take the lazy way out and see if anybody here knows what this port is for? New-to-me 1998 TJ with lots of goodies installed (and I keep discovering more). Though it might be immediately obvious once I pulled the dash covers off to install a new flasher relay (which I did today), but still unclear to me at a glance. It splices into several wires behind the dash, with an inline fuse thrown in somewhere along the way. Appears to be aftermarket, but maybe not? Any guesses? Thank you!

That's what it looks like to me. maybe a mag reed switch for ignition or fuel pump?
Not sure this is one of them, but quite a few dealerships have security systems installed to reduce the amount of vehicles stolen from the dealership.
Thanks for the leads, all. I'll trace these wires and report back if I figure it out. The vehicle doesn't seem to have any obvious security features, so if that's what the port is related to, I'm guessing the previous owner already disabled it.
