What is this seal called on my Dana 30 axle?

Hey guys, while changing my inner axle seals I noticed this seal (redish/orange) is all beat up. This is inside the diff right in front of the inner axle seal. Pic attached.

That’s just red RTV they put on the axle tube prior to pressing the tube into the center section. If it wasn’t leaking at that area I wouldn’t worry about it. If it was, clean it with brake clean and put some more RTV in there with your finger.
