Hey all,

Stumbled upon this very, very interesting hardtop. I have never seen it before, and the guy selling knows nothing about it. Looks to be for a TJ, but only have these two photos. Has anyone seen anything like this/have any photos of a jeep with one on it? its halfway between the Land Rover style raised roof and the tj… cant decide if it’s really ugly or really unique. Thanks everyone!

I have an American Fastback hard top...it has a metal plate inside...

Anything like that on the top that might help identify it?

Dimensions?

Never seen one like that but it looks kind of interesting.

Looks like his has a headliner/carpeting that’s falling out.

It can be really ugly, and unique

thanks for the input everyone. @jscherb, do you have any thoughts? I stumbled across some of your designs for similar safari type

It's a Guidon Vista. It was only on the market for a short time and as far as I know only a handful were sold. The example you posted doesn't have the skylights, the one below does:

When I was designing the TJ/LJ Safari Cab hardtop I considered doing a raised roof version which would have skylight windows like the Vista and also with Alpine windows on the side but decided that roof was something I might do in the future instead of during the initial phase of construction. Might still do it one day, the roof is removable and can be easily swapped for a different version.

Super neat, thanks so much for sharing! Your modular designs are pretty interesting as well, would be really nice for multi-purpose use.

The headliner actually looks pretty sick.
