Looks like a long-tailed pocket mouse, difficult to tell scale but if that pvc is under an 1" that would be my guess. You're a little far west for one of those but it's probably something similar, maybe San Diego pocket mouse?

snout looks a bit short and tail looks to be a bit long for the common rat, but it sure looks bigger than a mouse.
