Some of you have really had some beaut’s...

I think my favorite of the 60 something vehicles I’ve owned is my TJ.

Funny I currently have a brand new 2019 BMW X3 M40i, and a 2015 Sublime Challenger Scat Pack (Hemi 392)... and I watch the weather each night hoping I’ll be able to drive the TJ to work the next day (top down).

Some of my other memorable favs
2000 Mazda Miata
1988 Mustang LX 5.0 convertible
1986 Isuzu Impulse (no idea why)
1991 GMC Sierra stepside (5.7 liter)
1987 Mazda RX7
1990 Toyota Supra
1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4
1994 Cadillac Eldorado
2006 Infiniti G35

My favorite was my first car. 1967 Camaro, I bought it when i was 16 from my neighbor in 1983 for $1100. I saved all my money from my job as a pre-school janitor while i was in high school. My life literally changed. Girls were suddenly interested in me (shallow, I know, but who cares, I was 16). I fixed it up and learned a lot. I had it from age 16 till 22. The first time I did anything was either in or related to that car. I finally sold it in 1989 for $4500. I knew I made a mistake as I watched the guy drive away with it.

I think I only have the old polaroid pics of my old 69 Charger, it was my first car in High school. Sold it a few years after graduation when our family moved from Concord CA down to Agoura CA, Then bought my 70 Cuda, got married had 2 kids and a 60 mile round trip commute in a built 383 4spd car that got 8 mpg if I was light on the pedal. Ended up selling it and have regretted it ever since. I do enjoy the TJ and talked a buddy into buying one after we each sold our sand cars. I literally told him the fist thing your going to ask yourself after you get a TJ is
"Why didn't I get one of these a long time ago!"

Ok, knee jerk reaction was the TJ, and I still think it, but just to give you some context here are some past cars i’ve owned, and currently own:

Past fun ones:
1980 corvette
1981 corvette
2005 Mini Cooper convertible

Current:
2011 Mini Cooper S
1996 Dodge Viper
Ha ha, want another '81 'Vette? I have one in my yard that I'm going to restore (one of these days....) :)

There have been lots of them over 45 years.

If I did not have to consider the legal challenges to keeping my license, I'd pick the Pontiac Trans Ams and Chevy Stingrays..... but those cars were impossible to drive without breaking the law.

Absolute favorites were the carbureted 4x4s. And my '79 F250 Crewcab which was way before a quadcab was cool but it did it all with a family and dog. Of all my vehicles, that is the one I want again.

And then come the vehicles which were challenging to win with, The Cortinas, 3 of them, and my current TJR rank right up there. Hard to break the law with them, but nothing is more rewarding than passing a Bimmer in a Wrangler.

Absolutely my favorite drive is being in the underdog and blowing away, even just edging past the hot car. I live to beat an LS with my 4.0L. And I'm glad the 4.0L keeps my enthusiasm in check.

The car i want but have never owned, a Ford Pantera. Loved it when it came out and I was in grade 7. Love it today too.
Closest I've come to a Pantera was jump-starting one with my '73 Challenger.

The car I've wanted but never owned is a '73/'74 Jensen Interceptor. Driven three of 'em. Love those. Only a Facel Vega could top it on my "dream list".

Formula Fergusen with a 440. Definitely an incredible car 40 years ahead of its time.

You and me and Dean Martin... I love this car too but I'd pick a Lincoln Mark II first.

I love all these old, nonPC cars. Heavy, backseat pregnancy, leather, bedrooms.

Haha, no thanks! Maybe one of these days i’ll find my ass in the seat of a vette, but for now i’m actually thinking of thinning the herd. The TJ stays though. Time for bye bye Viper? Everyday I feel something different about the idea lol.

Bet most don't know what a '72 GMC Sprint even is without looking it up. Great list, by the way. I could easily live with any one of those!
