I have a 2005 4.0 sitting on 37s with 4.88 gears and 5.5 lift. I get 12-12.5 around town.
What's everyone's gas mileage?

I have a 2005 with a 4.0, sitting on 37s with 4.88 gears. I get between 12 and 12.5 mi per gallon in the city.

interesting as I have been following this thread for some time...This must the most HONEST folks in the Jeeping world.
On other forums: Running 44s, 5:36, 6in lift and getting 32 mpg on the freeway at 75 mph...is a common post!

That one dude went to a fram filter and increased his mileage significantly

I hpnestly never checked. When it is low I fill up. Smiles per gallon not miles

I've gotten 20 or maybe 21 under ideal conditions. Most of the time it's 17-19. Have gotten less with lots of off roading but 17-19 is common.
2005 with 31 inch tires. Manual transmission. Mild lift. No crazy mods. I don't drive fast. Last year in a trip out west traveling across South Dakota EVERYONE was passing us. I finally passed one car. Think it was the only car I passed the entire time in SD.

well I was getting 16, but changed to a FRAM oil filter and now I get 20......no 35MPG !!!

I read on the internet that if you drop magnets in your gas tank, you will get a minimum of 20 mag increase.
Believe me I did and I saw every Doc I could, even went to the Mayco clinic to get an opinion. My back has severe arthritis from my neck to my hip.
But I did sell to a good guy, bonafide Hard Core, 1%er Harley rider.
So I put and ad in the local rag and first day, at 7 am I get a call. Still got your Harley? Yes, Ok give me your address and I am on my do NOT sell that Harley before I get there in about 20 min.
He shows up and walks over I give him the key, and he fires it up. He looks at me and says: This is MY HARLEY! I ask do you want to ride it? NO, I don't need to, it works.
He turns to his truck and say this: WOMAN Get the money!
Looks at me and says: SOLD!
He sits down on the driveway waits. I go around noon ask he needs anything my wife wil make you some chow. Nope I am fine.
His WOMAN shows up at about 1:30 and hands him a papersack; he hands me. He looks at me and says: You wanna count it? No, don't think I need to.
This guy is big, I am 6' 2" and about 210 and he makes me look small.
He gets on and rides off.
3 months later he leaves a fone message: "Brother, you sure built a GREAT RIDE! Thanks!"
I still miss it and had hoped I would take it to grave with me, but to much damage to my body from Vietnam...Life & Freedom have a cost!
