Hey guys!

Are you using any kind of wheel chocks, when you working on your Jeep?

For example, to put them on the rear wheels, when you remove the front wheels for alignment, or suspension work. Just to be extra safe.

If yes, what type?

Just a beginner, trying to be safe

Wood blocks work really well. Sometimes we use rocks when out on the trails.

Some plastic like the photo would work? Or is it too light duty? (I am talking about my garage, not on the trail)

I find it better to take an extra second and be too safe, and it took me many years to learn that. If you're going to be under a vehicle, make sure it can't move. If you're also going to lift that vehicle, make sure it can't fall (jack stands/cribbing).

After seeing 3-4 vehicles roll away for one reason or another, I now carry a solid rubber chock in my Jeep (manual) and use it anytime I'm parked on a slope.

I have a few 3x3s and 4x4s I cut out of scrap wood, they work well and have many uses.

Some guys complain about people accidentally grabbing them for firewood, but most people I would camp with can recognize firewood from a long square block.
