I am trying to drop my fuel tank to replace the skid, do some frame painting, etc. on my '97 TJ.

The nuts all came off after some resistance, but when disconnecting the fuel tank lines, how in the world do I disconnect the evap line? (I think it's that, it's not the fuel or the electric). There is no connector that I can see, and I haven't been able to find a similar example online.

It's the one that's not disconnected in the picture below, in the front. Any thoughts, suggestions?

That is the connection. Pull the hose off the hardline.
