What size wheels can be used on a 2006 rubicon?

I cant find OEM moab wheels

I see alot if wheels that look like moab wheels on the newer jeeps but they are all
17’s or larger

What is the best option if I want the moab look on a 2006 rubi

The best option depends on your goals and the tire size you would like to run. You can run OEM TJ Moabs (or reps) in 16x8, reps in 15x8, or JK Moabs in 17x7.5 with appropriate adapters. Pick your tire size and go from there.

All TJ Rubicons came with a 16x8" Moab wheel. It was a very good looking wheel in a dumb size. 17s are the future. Use JK 17" Moabs!

Mine has 16" x 8" and, yes, there are limited tire choices in this size. I've been running KO2 tires since day one with no problems, in the stock size (245 75 16) or 30.47" diameter. People with other Jeeps are always after me to install a lift, use bigger wheels and tires, and drive hundreds of miles to go rock crawling. I like the stock size tires and wheels, stock gears, stock drive shaft, and look. The size is just right for Padre Island, the only place I have ever needed 4WD.
BTW, if you go to the larger size wheels, be advised that the lug spacing is different, so you will either need new axles or converter spacers.

If it's the look you're after, keep in mind that the 17" Moabs from JKs are not as concave as the 16" OEMs. I tried a set of the 17s on mine and did not like the look as much as the 16" OEMs.

Agreed, the 16" absolutely looks better because of this.

Many people (myself included) also find 17s look weird with anything less than 33" tires. Both that and how concave they are are matters of taste of course.

I would agree with @jjvw that 17's are unfortunately the future as manufacturer's start to get rid of 15" tire sizes. However, if you're running under a 35" tire, I typically prefer the 50% rule where the wheel should be no more than 50% of the overall diameter (I don't follow this on my truck). There are still a lot of 15" options out there. With that, the 15" replicas are cool!

You’re options are

15”
  1. Mamba MR1X with 4.5” BS. Use a 0.5” spacer and extended thread lug nuts to bring them to 4” BS
  2. Quadratec Rubicon Express
16”

Any OEM Moab wheel

17”

JK Moab’s with spacer adapter
Others you may find in that style

Market moving to 17’s.

Running JK 17" wheels with 265/70/17 tires. Like the 16" factory wheel set back but couldn't find any at a reasonable price and the limited tire sizes caused me to lose interest. Found the JK wheels with tires and adapters for way less than asking price for the factory 16" bare rims. Photo is with 1 1/4" body lift, stock springs

I have been finding slightly used JK takeoffs for the last 10 years with a 1.5 body lift and savvy under armor. I don't like the adapter and want new rims but haven't been able to pass up the deals and now have too many JK wheels lying around. I need to start getting rid of of them as they barely hold air and the rubber is way too old.
