2004 rubicon Fog lights came on and killed the battery .. its been fixed 3 times following the repair here .. I just wanna replace it with new... I know somewhere along the year it went from different peices to a single assembly and when looking on line I'm seeing different ones ... can someone link to my specific jeep part ... thanks in advance .. used search it didn't reveal very much

I despise that multi-function turn signal/lights stalk. I wouldn't have a 2001+ model just because of that.

I have always hated those things, but unfortunately they're on everything made in the last 30+ years with a very few exceptions. I always preferred the pull out light switch, and the floor mounted dimmer switch.
When I had my YJ, the dimmer was on the MFS, but it had a connector at the base of the steering column that could be taken apart. I did that and mounted my own floor dimmer on it. If it wouldn't take major rewiring, I'd do it to my TJ.

Mine is an 04 and I just put this one in a few months ago. It’s been good so far. I got it from Rock Auto.

The 1997 - 2000 Jeep TJ had a pull-out headlight knob and a separate rocker switch for the fog lights.

10 year no hassle warranty here.

But still had the dimmer on the stalk.

It's a bit different than most, though. Instead of it "toggling" like others do, you push it out for the high beams and it stays there until you pull it back for the low beams.

But yeah, I still prefer the floor dimmer switch as well.

I am also not a fan of the wipers on any type of stalk. I think they should have had those on a knob on the right side of the steering column instead.
