Why is low testosterone so prevalent in young males

Endocrine disrupters leaching out of the plastics that we use and the microplastics we injest.

I have been told something to that effect- not surprised.

I love these post about you guys taking charge of your health- Motion is the lotion.

Joe Rogan has a scientist on a couple of years ago who spent 20 years studying this. It was the scariest thing I’ve ever heard. Made me stop using plastic containers for my lunch. She’s got the numbers and it’s staggering how direct the correlation is from plastic food containers and men’s lower reproductive health.

Will check it out. Plastics keep coming up for sure.

...it was claimed that the relationship between cholesterol and heart disease is turning out to be correlation, not causation.
I'm actually in the middle of an experiment on this myself with my health. My regular doctor is a concierge doctor (I pay her cash monthly), and she's very open to working with me in guiding my own health journey. I've always had normal LDL/HDL/total cholesterol, but my triglycerides sometimes gave me trouble when I ate too much sugar (I've been on a "near-zero processed sugar" diet for over three years). Back in '21, she suggested a heart CT scan to look for arteriosclerosis. I thought it was a good idea, so I did it. One other advantage of my concierge doc is that she has set up "pay in cash" deals with health providers. That CT scan cost me less than $100. Anyway, the results came back with the best possible news - no detectable artery blockage anywhere in the heart.

Fast forward to this past June after my yearly blood test, and I have some cholesterol issues creeping up. She started to suggest dietary changes (because she knows that the last thing I'll do is take a statin), and I got depressed. A low fat diet is miserable (I grew up in dairy country and eat a lot of dairy). Then I started thinking and reading online info about cholesterol, statins, and big pharma. It appeared to me that cholesterol has become the indicator for arteriosclerosis, but like you pointed out, there's plenty of evidence that the relationship between them is correlation, not causation. So, I devised a simple plan to test it myself and pitched it to her. She agreed it was a good plan.

What I'm doing is continuing with my current "I don't care about fat consumption" diet for the rest of the year, and then I'll have another heart CT scan to look for arteriosclerosis. After all, with regards to fat intake, I haven't ever in my life gone on a low-fat diet, so I'm guessing it's not going to cause me to have arteriosclerosis now. If I still have zero signs of blockage, I'll continue to not worry about cholesterol. I'll just have heart CT scans every 5 years or so (because if cholesterol doesn't cause arteriosclerosis, what does?) It's so sad that science is so corrupted these days...

Not having this as a normal day growing up .... ;)

We had them too , early to mid 70's = no BMX yet. However we were of the Bobber mind set , we removed the fenders and chain guard to get them to " Racing weight " . My mom would get so pissed at me and my brothers always getting the right leg of our jeans mangled and greasy as they got caught between the chain and sprocket. Good Times !

I guarantee you Evel was the inspiration- When we were kids we just couldn’t believe there was a man on earth with a pair like that. We had no idea what was coming with the freestyle world and everything else.

Modern freestyle is amazing ! , but I can't imagine they could do what they do riding a Harley XR-750 !

So much plastic is in the environment that we can no longer get away from it. Microplastics are everywhere from drinking water to food.

I saw a video of a hotdog under a microscope. Pretty hard for me to eat one now. I’m sure it was the typical low-grade package meat product.

Man there was stuff moving in it. And plastics were everywhere. A pig will eat anything.

(because if cholesterol doesn't cause arteriosclerosis, what does?)

could very well be the inflammatory diet we got sold decades ago with the food pyramid. Much of our produce and almost all of our grains are saturated in glyphosate, and if you believe what the carnivores say, vegetables are full of stuff they evolved to deter animals from eating them and we might shouldn't eat them, either.

My dad always says, this may kill me but I’ll die happy. He’s made it to 82 so far….

My grandpa started smoking unfiltered cigarettes at 12. Ate lard, pure grease, drank.

When he was way up in his 80s and got pretty sick they took them away from him....Dad was like ....why now?

In my opinion there are 2 reasons.
1) highly processed foods. A 75,000 soft grocery store will have 500 soft of fresh meat (forget about gmo's)
2) Pba's and gene altering chemicals. Pba (estrogen) is in all of our plastic bottles. 98% of all sunscreen products contain chemicals that can alter your genes.
