Why won't this exhaust kit work on a 2000?

I want to replace my exhaust system with as close to OEM as possible, but this kit is only for 97-99, apparently. Any idea what's different that it won't work for 2000 and up? I have a 2000 Sahara.

Because the newer manifold has two outlets instead of one, and it goes into two separate pre-cats before y-ing together into a single pipe.

Thanks for the reply! I did some more digging and I think I have the model before the 3 cat version, because I see the two oulets but not the 2 pre-cats. In any case, looks like this kit won't work for mine. Here's some pics:

The 2000 model year started the switch to the crack prone 0331 head and dual cast iron exhaust manifolds in place of a single outlet tubular manifolds.

I've only had a 99, 05, and 06 so I can't be certain but the piping up there looks like somebody may have pulled it, cut out the pre-cats and welded straight pipes in their place.

Walker makes the part you need. I have it in mine and it’s a direct fit. I can’t seem to find the part number now though.

2000 was a split year. They had the 2 pipe without the pre-cats early and then switched to the 2 pipe with the pre-cats.

Walker as well as Omix-Ada have stopped making the 2 pipe without the pre-cats. Walker Pipe part number is: 52317 I called both Walker and Omix-Ada directly. They both said they stopped making them.
