Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

No one else reading these posts - we're talking in a AB conversation so C you way out of it!

J/k.... I'm working on my dad humor...

Great feedback on the Mega Cab!

I've always been a Chevy guy but I had a Ram as rental when my wife gifted me Daytona 500 tickets and I was really impressed with the Ram so it went back on my radar of truck consideration.

All that said, my wife said to me when the Jeep's engine went a few years ago:

'You can replace the engine in the Jeep and keep it or sell it and get it truck...'

And to this day she's held that line. I haven't found a convincing argument yet for why I need a truck to argument against that...

Not yet ready to get a trailer that would convince her for the need. And without a trailer I really don't have an argument...

I've owned a truck since the Jeep became a trail rig and not a DD type rig. That and the STaK's not letting me flat tow it. Now I can't imagine not owning some type of truck. Yes I'd LOVE to have a fun 2 seater HOT ROD type rig but then it'd be parked during the winter so that is why I have a motorcycle instead.

I'm really impressed with your pickup and the features. Dodge did a great job, even 12 years ago.

Not a Dodge anymore... It's now a RAM.... ;);)

Wife said she'd tolerate the Jeep but no motorcycles. That worked for me because I never wanted a motorcycle and she didn't realize what she had agreed to as far as money pits...

I want a truck bad... Just need to work the rationale. What doesn't help is that we bought a Traverse before the kids, then bought a 2022 WK2 to be my wife's vehicle, but the Traverse has a larger trunk for the stroller and shopping goods better...

So WK2 is now my DD. Would have been the time to get a truck...

Longer term, she wants a Tahoe so maybe I'll end up with a truck with an SUV body...

One of the PLUSES of being single... I can remember a few discussions with my ex about my "NEED" for a truck. I even had a Chevy for a short time. One of those with the rear steer axle too. The only thing nice about it was backing a trailer.
I had a WJ that I tried to tow my Jeep with & it did OK but I traded it in on a Dodge Ram 2500 before I had to tow the Jeep again and then bought my first truck camper not long after that. Funny how things evolve & change as time goes on.
I had a really nice Dodge Ram 3500 Mega cab that I traded in on my dually. Then traded that for my money pit motorhome... And now I have another Ram Mega cab again.

Should have just kept the Ram 3500......

Looks better with the Back rims and Black fender flares IMO

All the kids at my daughters high school called it the Coke a Cola truck due to the paint job. We won every year I used the truck to tow my trailer as a float in the local parade. This was the volleyball teams float.

You've obviously NEVER been in a Mega Cab Ram... But OK... We know you like your Fords & I like my Rams.

Same as your Lame Shit compared to a Hemi...

Figured I'd get you worked up. ;)

Also noteworthy is that Ram's fabled Mega Cab provides less front headroom, front legroom, and rear legroom than any truck in the HD class.

Interestingly, both Ford and GM trucks best Ram's Mega Cab in rear-seat legroom. However, what they lack is the enormous amount of space behind the rear seat. So, if you'd rather have the near foot of extra cargo storage, the Mega Cab is for you.

Did you actually read the article and look at the numbers posted? Or did you just cut and paste so you could try to get me riled up as you say?
The numbers are so close it's BS and while I haven't sat in a Chevy or Ford fear seat as the article points out, if you want 12" of added storage for things then a Mega Cab is it... As I said they aren't for everyone but IMO if you've got kids they can't be beat. You can throw your bags behind the seat and not be cramped..

To each their own...

Been in them. The back seat is tiny. Can't flip the seat backs down with car seats in place.

My seat backs flip down, I keep tow straps and such back there in case I see a Ram in need. ;)

How can you flip the seat forward with car seats in place?

As I said you do you and I'll do me... I still LOVE my Mega Cab
