Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

So when I walked outside this morning here is what I found in my driveway.

It’s that kit beefy! I felt like a kid on Christmas when I got it.

Yes TOTAL BEEF...… Parts are coming in and I should be able to get this going pretty soon. Next on my list of things to do is to pull the old engine and tranny and then raise the Jeep up so I can pull the axles. Then I can work on them on jack stands.

It'll be a few days before I can get any work done to the Jeep. I've got to get stuff moved out of the garage first and put into my new shed. Then I can clean up the garage.

My rear Anti-Rock just got here. I've never had a rear swaybar on my Jeep. When I bought it it had a ProComp 4" SA lift on it and the PO had taken the rear swaybar off. And when I did the Nth Degree lift I just never put one on. This has been a mod I've wanted to do for a long time.

FedEx also dropped off a steel braided hose assembly tool. My plan is to run braided hose for the fuel system and for the automatic transmission.

Get that garage cleaned out and start on the install of all the parts you got stacking up.

That is what I was doing yesterday. It was my start at making room for this project.

There is still more stuff that I need to move into my storage shed but I'm getting there.

Been assembling my bead blast cabinet this morning.

As I was moving boxed yesterday I had to open some of them up just to look at all the BLING inside.

Rear armor with a 4-5" stretch. I'll be getting back to you soon.....

Went to Harbor Freight to get a 25' Hose Reel which was $54.99 and found out the 50' hose reel was on sale for $59.99 so what the heck for $5 more....

Stopped and emptied my mailbox since I hadn't gone yesterday. I'm going to going with a 2 1/2" flange from the headers to a Y and then 3" exhaust to the rear. It is going to all be stainless steel so I started getting parts in.
3" band clamps

And a 6 AN fitting for the fuel system.

Time to get to work now.

Finished the blasting cabinet today. While there are things I didn't like about the cabinet, like their directions. They give you a piece of real glass for bottom piece and include a cover for the glass to keep it from getting foggy.

And their are 3 new protecting covers to replace when the one gets foggy.

I added a 3' air line with a air regulator also.

In it's final spot. Now tomorrow I'll hand the air hose reel from the rafters so I can use it for either the blasting cabinet or the plasma cutter.

Put a 3' air line with regulator on the plasma cutter also.

Got more stuff in today. Both the 3" & 2.5" exhaust kit I ordered came in so when I'm ready I can build my own exhaust system. Also got new welding blankets as my old one was worn and needed to be replaced.

Eastwood provided some of their paint for the inside of the frame plus some weld thru primer. The paint for inside the frame is for my daughters TJ.

And I put the portable welding table together and got a starter clamp kit from Eastwood.

Another day or two worth of cleaning and organizing the garage and I should be ready to really start working on the Jeep. Won't be a lot going on to start with as I need to pull the old engine and take all the old suspension off. But I'll be updating as I go along.

Opened up the boxes of the exhaust kit to make sure they weren't dented.

I opened it up and see this.

Damn right. I use to be a Optima fan but not after going thru 3 batteries in 7 years.

Got the hose reel hung and ready to use.

HF has those reel setups for stupid cheap, so much more convenient plus 50ft. Optima used to be a solid company then they switched where they made their lead and sourced material - it’s crap now.

I almost bought one of those Harbor Freight media blasters at one point. You'll have to let me know how you like it. Can't tell you how many times one of those would have come in handy.
