I was wondering if the front seatbelts from the 03-06 Tj would fit in the 97-02 Tj cause I’m looking for a nice set of black ones since I redid the whole interior in black and the ones I have are gray and don’t work anymore. Looked on eBay and it has it listed as 97-02 then 03-06 was wondering what the difference would be? Of coarse eBay really did not give good up close pictures or details. Just need the retractor male side. Any information would be helpful. I bought a set that said fit the TJ but they were junk and had no wiring for the seat belt warning crap on the dash. So they have now been sent back. Thanks..!!!

check the part numbers and see. They still might fit if different numbers but if they are the same, then you should be good.

Check the buckles and latches if you're mixing and matching. My 97 wouldn't latch with 2000s.
