Will 97 and 98 TJ interior parts fit my 2000 TJ?

Hey guys, new to the thread!
Question for some of you more knowledge TJ owners.
I have a 2000 TJ 2.5L SE that I'm looking to upgrade the dash interior from grey to a camel tan or saddle tan.
Was looking through some websites and they claim 97/98 TJ parts will not fit my 2000 TJ
Are all TJ parts not interchangeable? or does it depend on the base model such as Sahara not interchangeable with the SE or 98 parts wont fit on a 2000 and such?

I've painted the interior panels before just not the same.

The center console is not a direct interchange. The 1 piece versions use a parking brake assembly that has slotted tabs for the side screws. The 2 piece does not and has holes under the rear cup holder. Easily adapted and worked with but the reason they say parts won't interchange. They do, just not directly. Other than that, you are correct up until they changed the center bezel with the rounded corner radio hole and different lower switch panels. Still can be made to work though.
