Will this wheel and tire setup make my Jeep look stupid?

as ive posted before - i am bringing my jeep from a 4inch heel size to a STOCK size
BUT
I have the aluminum American racing rims on it now
this info copied off the rims

other than 15x8 i have NO clue Yes id like to buy a clue or three

I have the Dumbo Flairs on it also to pass inspection and keep the cops off me

IF
I go to 30 or 31inch tires with the STOCK undergarments and THESE rims ( INSTEAD of the original Steel 15x7 rims/original flairs )
am i going to look STUPID?

Picture shows it as it is now with the 4inch lift
Im getting all my parts and pieces together in advance along with INFO from you all

Should look about like this. This is mine when I bought it. Stock suspension with 31s and similar rims which are 15x8 with 3.75" BS.

Good call. I made that mistake after lifting my Jeep and driving 30 miles to a tire shop. I got plenty of strange looks while driving there. The ride back home was so much better.

Here is my story:

I built my Jeep and it looked stock, had a 3 in lift (note this was in the era of 5 in lifts and BEYOND).

I retired and moved to be closer to wheeling from Utah to Mexico and Texas to Cali, and I am in Scottsdale AZ, centrally located.

Big wheeling area just N of Phoenix and I can be there 20 min. So I drive my weekend in town in hopes of meeting some folks. I see a group of folks and I drive over and ask if I wheel with them. They look over at my Jeep and laugh, all. you got have is a lift anyone can have that, NO we don't want you wheeling with us, you will only slow us down, get out of there.

I go to another group get laughed at, pointing at my Jeep, where did you get those cheap ass wheels..

What they do not know: Walker Evans Beadlocks

I don't do kits, I did it once and gave it away and then build my own from components.

Then they looked at my rear bumper and my rocker guards. HOOTING and Laughing asking me if it was left over sewer pipe. LOL, it was Schedule 40 iron pipe. They had no idea.

Since I have been on here on this time (years ago I was on here ) I have had people ridicule me on here for things I have done to my Jeep.

I have NEVER poor mouthed anyone's Jeep but a lot of folks will, they think its cool or something like that and they love to do it in front of their buddies.

Here is the takeaway: It's your Jeep, your wallet, your pride of ride, and ignore anyone who bad mouths or makes fun of you or your Jeep and what you've done to it.

Yea my Jeep looks mostly stock but stock its NOT!

My YJ and TJ are for me. I could care less what others think. It’s good to find out people are assholes early. I hate the let me check your rig to see if your worthy of running with us people or I’m the Trail Boss guy. The people I run with drive a variety of rigs of different abilities. If someone gets stuck we just pull them out and move on. The main thing is to get out and have have FUN.

Looks like you like a clean, nice TJ and your brain is bigger than a 16 year olds nut sack. IMO It will look great and with the new smaller non OEM wheels that still stick out past the flares. The dumbos will keep all the shit out of the inside, off the hood/mirrors and flying everywhere you don't want. That is my biggest gripe about my 99 with it's 15x8' and 31's. There is snow and mud on the ground here about 50% of the winter. Im pretty sure Maine is far worst
