Window Shopping for Ramp Trucks or Roll Backs

How about DISC brakes @RINC , sorry to throw you a curve ball ! However it gives me some confidence in you if DICK brakes were a concern ! (y)

The days of me spending time using labor to swap stuff over is long gone. I found a '66 C-20 in perfect sunburned blue paint years ago. 6cyl manual steering and brakes. The drivetrain from my '69 was a good swap into it. Passed on it because I aint got it in me any longer.

Now I kind of like this one. Needs some resto but it’s got a cool factor and does not cost more than a house.
I worry about any vehicle from New England that is 40-50 years old and claims rust free. Is that Arizona rust free or east coast relatively rust free?

Rust Is Not A Crime. Thought you knew.

Found ya another nice toter with a rear deck....

I like this one better. Long enough to haul a TJ on & still hook up a 5th wheel.

DO IT ! You're just a short output shaft for the T-400 and a good NP-205 transfer case away . Well that and a hell of a lot of work !
It would be a way cool truck !

Forgot about a transfer case. Was thinking of swapping the motor, trans and the cab and front end. Been thinking of running a service bed. Been window shopping service trucks but that would lock me in on a bumper pull trailer.

Problem with the squarebody frames is the height contour. You either need to butcher the cab or run a big bodylift to get a 67-72 body on it. I don't remember the particulars on which cab bed combo is the least aweful but I'd rather convert a 2wd frame or get the right 67-72 4x4 frame

The biggest upgrade I am looking for is disc brakes on the front for use as a towpig. I am good for years '71 to '87 for a solid axle 4x4 truck.

Please excuse the Ferd part and shiny red paint , the AZ sun should fade it soon! A low profile utility bed would allow a gooseneck hauler ! DOOO IT !
