Window Shopping for Ramp Trucks or Roll Backs

You could always build one out of a GMC motorhome

Bought a few months ago and drove it home. Plans have changed and I don't need it now. GMC 7500 with 248000 miles on Cat 3126 b motor. 6 speed manual transmission. Has a 22' box with a winch drawn mounted ramp. Also has a 12000 pound winch inside .Has heavy D-rings thru out as well as e- tracks. Truck was used to haul a tractor around to pulling events.
Would make a great toter home / toy hauler or put it back to work..
Has air ride but no air brakes.
$14,500.00 or would consider trading for a 3/4 or 1 ton pickup.

I had briefly considered picking up a ramp or flatbed truck. After looking at buying one, fixing it up, how much I'd use it, insurance, maintenance, storage, etc. it sounded like a good idea, but wasn't. A nice truck and trailer was a better option, and far more versatile.

For what you'll spend, you can get a nice aluminum trailer and hardly know it's back there on a 1/2 ton truck. The only time it's really an issue is when crossing mountains. As far as the 55 mph limit, the 55 - 60 zone is typically where I find myself driving. When pulling 5,000+ pounds it just feels safer to be driving at those speeds. I'll stop being old and boring now! ;)

hello, selling a cool project bus, has 22 foot flatbed. Bus was cut in halfish and I built the custom flatbed with all new steel and lots of heavy tie downs, used to haul a Toyota Rockcrawler on the back of the bus, and camp in the front cab. always ran great for me and still does. Fun to drive! Trades are welcome.
