My son and I got up early on a Thursday morning (2/25/21) and drove through 2" of fresh snow to an area north of Cañon City, Colorado, called Red Canyon Park.

Our campsite. We were way back in and up and no one else was anywhere around. Just the way we like it.

We are still super pleased with how the design of the camper turned out.

Our view sitting in the camp chairs by the fire pit.

This was a very tame section of a road that did require airing down and disconnecting the sway bar links. There is lots of both wheeling and hiking back in these canyons.

You can see why this area is called Red Canyon Park. Lots of Moab-y colors and formations.

Awesome trip. I love winter adventures. My favorite camping trips have all been winter hike ins. My buddy and I did a hike last year where we spent the night and skied out. Amazing trip.
