I have had to rebuild just about this entire wiring harness under the hood and to the fuel pump it's a 2004 TJ 2.4 engine m/t now on the break OUTwhere the harness plugs together I have a I think a black and yellow wire coming out of the plug at the firewall and I still have crank but no start can anyone tell what and where this wire hooks too please also the wires were cut out of it when I bought it

I dont think anyone will be able to solve your problem without looking at pictures or the very least seeing it in person even better if there is an original reference harness available this is a very difficult problem to solve with one continuous run-on sentence
Somebody just needs to look over the factory wiring diagrams. They're in the resources section. Easy to read.

The wiring starts on page 607/8W-01-1
The wiring is labeled as XX/XX where the first color is the primary, and the second is the tracer color (a thinner stripe)
If you are able to, upload a picture of the wire and its location for me to better understand where it is located and its color/tracer setup.
I suggest reading through the 8W section to familiarize yourself with the wiring of your Jeep. If you hit a snag or need help understanding the wiring diagrams, it is all explained on pages 608-612 (8W-01-01 - 8W-01-06) But feel free to ask me for any further explanations if they are too confusing.
With all that out of the way, heres a few I found while skimming the FSM for an 04.
The first one of concern would be a Black/Orange wire from the ignition switch to the fuse block for the Run position on page 637/8W-10-13
There is also a Yellow/Black wire for the Idle air control motor seen on page 695/8W-30-11

Thats what I was doing, Just scrolling through the 2500ish pages to get a baseline. Hopefully the OP gets back with some images so I can assist with tracing this cumbersome issue...
How do I get to the recourse page from here I'm kinda new at this although I can read a service manual I did work at the Ford dealership for about 7 years
