Wondering if this is a good soft top

No experience with Smittybilt soft tops personally. I have always gone with Bestop, since they make the oem tops. Other than the black twill version, this would be the best you can get as far as replace-a-tops:

Those who have reviewed the SB top on Morris 4x4 have given it high marks, though. You never quite know about reviews...
 
If you keep your Jeep garaged, i wouldn't sweat it at all. And even if it wasn't garaged, you don't live in the NE where bitter weather, snow and salt is commonly expected for months. Considering Azle is averaged to be sunny 230 days a year, even less concern.

Id trust a 'Bestop' brand product (originators of Jeep softops) before Smitty, no doubt. Pavement Ends is Bestop.
