You would be better off starting with a Dana 44 from a 84-90 Jeep XJ or MJ...

Do a Google search, there are lots of links for this swap. Lots of good reasons for not doing it.

Find a dana 44 from a TJ, not that common (or reasonable) on FB marketplace, but be patient.

Where are you in TN ?? Will keep looking for one for you if you want. Doug

The Rodeo has a 6 lug wheel pattern too, i.e. more issues to deal with.
