Would stock 2.5 shocks and springs fit on my 4.0?

hello, I’m new to the jeep world so I need a lot of help with what’s what. My jeep has a 3.5 inch lift installed by the previous owner, and 33 inch tires. The lift is a bit too much for what I would like, and I found a set of stock TJ shocks and springs for sale. The only problem is a believe the shocks and springs for sale are from a 4 cylinder, where as my jeep is a 6 cylinder. I was wondering if the stock shocks and springs from a 4 cylinder would work on my 6 cylinder.
Thanks for the help

I'd think they'd be fine too, but my only concern would be the front shocks and springs and how it would support the 4.0 liter versus the 2.5 liter. Not sure of the weight difference, but with it only being 2 cyl or 1.5L, I'd think it'd be okay. :)

Don't do it. There were a number of different spring part numbers used on different trims to achieve close to the same ride height with different weights. I put 2.5 springs on my 4.0 Sahara to return it to stock and it looked like a low rider.

The shocks are probably fine.

That height really isn't far off. I also tried 15x7 wheels with the base SE 27"ish tires on it, which were dwarfed in the wide Sahara flares in the rear and MCEs in front. It looked so terrible I couldn't even bring myself to take photos.

That was all before I realized my track bar options with a drilled out frame hole weren't gonna work at stock ride height. I ended up going with a 2" lift and rounded up some almost new 31s and Canyons on marketplace and made it look like a Jeep again.

Now you have to post pics. :)
