STICKY Wrangler TJ Factory Specifications

You’ll need a wire harness to run to the back where the hardtop wiring is at. That harness ties into your instrument cluster with 2 or 3 pins and it also ties into a connector above your feet in the drivers seat as well. The wiring schematic is available in the service manual which you can find on the forum. You will have to have knowledge on how to read wiring schematics though. I didn’t know how until my neighbor and I did it to my Jeep. Luckily his forte is automotive wiring. I scored the bulk of the harness at a you-pick junkyard. You’ll also need the switches which you can get from a TJ or an XJ. If you decide to tackle it, I can provide you with the wiring pins you’ll need that will go to your gauge cluster. I’d mail you them if your serious, I don’t want to send them to not be used. I did mail some about a year ago to @GEEP4ME because those pins are not easy to come by. Let me know, if you’re interested I would help you out with the pins. One other thing you’ll need is a new windshield washer tank that has two outputs with two motors since you’ll want the rear washer to work too if you’re going through all the trouble of wiring it.

Thank you for all the information! I really appreciate it. I definitely am interested in the pins. I’ll shoot you a PM.

Hi @Chris

Thanks again for this post. Pretty sure I just saw some polished Ravines on a TJ. Anyone know what year or model the Ravine wheels were polished, not painted? I assume it was some kind of LJ.

Hmmm, not sure if this was a factory option or if they perhaps polished them on their own.

what a massive pain that had to have been, but yeah, I've never seen polished Ravines before. A couple different paint schemes, but never polished....which is why Canyon will forever be > Ravine in my eyes.

Never ending saga... check out the rest of the Jeep before committing.
Where did you buy it?
Private Sale is buyer beware but if you bought from a dealer there may be some recourse.
Most car dealers have a responsibility to sell road worthy inspected vehicles.

Hey @Chris

Saw these posted on Facebook, and the seller claims that they are OEM from an 01 Sahara.

Has anyone else seen these to confirm? Maybe they could be added to the list.

I’ve seen those before but I am not sure those are OEM Sahara wheels. If they are I am not sure what they are called.

I have seen them on many Saharas and according to their build sheets they were OEM. They were an option, but I don't recall for which years. They don't appear to be named, they're just listed as "16x7.0 Aluminum Wheels"

Nice. Well, I say let's add them to the list and call them "Sahara Aluminum Wheels" until someone provides a name?

From what I am reading, the unpainted textured fender flares only came in black. Any chance the '05 Sport had the option of dark gray flares? Mine is 100% stock as delivered from the factory with gray flares. Yes, they are very sun-worn but even with restoring them (tried both, trim restorer and heat gun) they are gray. It's a RHD so I don't know if that makes a difference. The build sheet doesn't specify. I need a replacement but cannot find gray ones.
