Small note, my build sheet for my 2002 shows front Axle: Dana 30/186mm not 181mm.

For my rear it show Dana M35/194mm. Does the "M" have any significance?

Not sure about the M, I don't think that has any significance at all, do you know @Jerry Bransford?

Thanks for the correction on size though!

Does anyone know about all the different OEM options and what years are compatible with each other? I have found some but need more information. For example, the side steps changes around 00/01 I think. I almost bought the incorrect pair. Compatibility issues suck.

Anything from 97-06 is interchangeable for the most part, so you should be just fine.

The only exceptions would be electronic related things such as wiring harnesses, sensors, etc.

1 question, does the NSG 370 manual transmission also have a filter that needs to be changed while servicing it?

This was very informative thread. I learned a lot. We just purchased our Tj a couple of weeks ago, so I had a lot of questions that this thread answered. I did know what gears I had because in the glove box. Was the the owners manual original window sticker an dealerships info.

This is an amazing resource! Would you by chance be able to add engine bay size to the dimensions section? I'm not really one to do a swap, but there's plenty of crazy ideas floating around in my head...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but hoping it helps anyone who’s new like me. My TJ came without a logbook (🧐) but I noticed thanks to Chris’s great work that it has a Dana 44 rear axle. At this point I wanted to know more, so I tried ALL of the links in this thread for the Build
Sheets and non seemed to work for me over in Australia.
Suffice to say I ended up finding a current local link, so here it is!

Turns out this TJ also has a Trac-Lock diff... whatever that is (off to do more digging)!

Great Thread :) I would like to add that some export models varied from US specs.
Fog lights in OZ, must be under the bumper and are not allowed to be used as running lights, there is a $ fine for using, fog lights with no fog and the TJ front recovery hooks were deemed dangerous to pedestrians so were replaced with loops!
This was just an on road compliance thing that soon got changed by owners.
Also the Jeep TJ Renegade is not listed? I am presuming that the Wrangler Renegade may have been a Sahara re badged Renegade in OZ?

The purpose of this thread is to layout a complete list of stock specifications found on the Wrangler TJ.

This information was gathered from several sources and is believed to be accurate for U.S. spec Wranglers TJ (it may not be accurate for foreign models). If you notice any errors or have additional information to contribute, please send a private message or an email to a moderator.
