WranglerFix PCM and HPTuners

My Innovate LM-2 showed up yesterday and I have an external knock sensor inbound to start dialing this thing in better.

Working on figuring out the LM-2 a little this evening and trying to tie it into my MVPI3.

Cool. I went with the PLX wideband O2. Easy to wire in the 5V wideband analog out with the Prolink. Will be interested in what you're doing for the knock sensor.

I got the LM-2 because I can datalog carbureted vehicles and my old OBD-1 Camaro if need be as well. I've got some buddies with old V8s we can fine tune.

The knock sensor is a KnocksenseMS and I THEN found a thread about using one on a Jeep engine on the HP Tuners forum so I have verification it will work how I intended it too. For $133 with the sensor shipped, I figured it was worth a shot.

I'm PLANNING on mapping it with the same values as the timing tables and as I understand it, set it to "min value" in the table to see where it knocks to make my adjustments. I'll post screenshots and everything once I get it set up. I'm gonna order some weatherpack connectors to make a nice, portable and mobile datalogging setup out of it. Then I can swap the Knocksense from the MVPI3 to the LM-3 with ease.

Nice. Alot of the standalone knock sensors have a steep pricepoint. I like the sounds of that.

The Knocksense took a week long tour of VA but it's here. Jeep is still in the shop so I'm waiting for it to get fixed. I will hopefully get some time to get the wiring figured out soon. Between a couple trips and stuff with/for the family, my time is limited right now.

Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to program the PCM I bought from WranglerFix using HP Tuners.
I've tried everything and nothing works. It seems I had the bad luck of receiving the only PCM that can't be programmed. According to HP Tuners, my PCM has the serial number erased, which is why HP Tuners won't allow writing to it. On the other hand, Mark tells me that's not the problem — he had me try countless things and nothing worked either... I'm stuck in a loop between HP Tuners and Mark, while I keep running my faulty OEM PCM and the WranglerFix sits in a box collecting dust. :sneaky:
