Played around on Yankee hill on Saturday, the colors were nice and it was way less crowded than the usual pavement trip spots.
This is our 2nd year of doing a 4x trip to see the leaves.

My wife got most of the best pics, I’ll add some of those later.
I did manage to bend the stock tie rod, a big rock shifted coming down a loose slope at the top. I was coming down from the area in the 2nd pic above.
Lesson learned for me, the big shit moves around more than you’d think it can on those loose declines. Oh well, ZJ parts are in the mail already.

My wife drove a good part of it. She did well, typical Wyoming gal. She grew up driving her dad's 77 F150. I’ll need to get her up to speed on using the hand throttle on hill starts.
She did great going up this tailings pile v-notch. Couldn’t get the smile off her face.
The last pic is looking down the V from a couple of weeks ago when my son and I went shooting.

I had my daughter (13) drive a bit too. Kept it in 4-lo so the clutch would be easier for her. She really enjoyed it, and did well with her technique.
My son really wanted a turn, but at 9 his feet just won’t reach the pedals. Maybe next year.
